Hello potential Israel Travellers... come meet with us on Sunday, July 20th, at 6:00pm, at Westside Chapel in Beaverton... its located at 13985 SW Farmington Rd in Beaverton, 97005.
We will be presenting a finalized itinerary and a powerpoint presentation to showcase it, and will give an overview of the sites we will visit, with pictures and significance for each. We will also have a brochure you can take with you and show to any friends you might have who might be interested. The tentative dates for the trip are Monday, October 5th, 2015 through Monday, October 19th, 2015... a 15 day trip.
We believe everyone should make the trip to the Holy Land... no matter what group or organization you travel with. But if you are considering such a significant trip, and are possibly considering other tours, we would be humbled for you to take the time to come and hear what a Compassion Ministries trip entails. Between your two tour leaders, we have been more than 30 times, and we completely custom plan our itinerary as opposed to using a "canned" itinerary that most tours present.
Another thing that we believe sets our trips apart is the time we spend in study before we go... for the year prior to the trip we will meet every one to two months to study the locations we will visit each day. This also affords everyone a great chance to meet their fellow travelers as opposed to just "showing up at the airport" on the day we leave, as well as to have a handle on the significance of what we will see before we even get there, as it can be truly overwhelming.
Finally, although we believe Israel is a VERY safe place, people are always concerned with security and safety, and rightly so. Although I now am privileged to direct Compassion Ministries, I have over 11 years experience in law enforcement, both locally and federally, with specialization in protective duties. We are meticulous about what hotels we stay in, in what parts of the city, where we go and do not go, etc.... so that our travelers can feel secure, and concentrate on what they are experiencing without concern for safety.
So come join us... if you just show up that is totally fine, but if you know you are coming please let us know so we can make sure we have enough refreshments and brochures for everyone... call us at (503) 626-0101, or email at "info@heartoftheword.org". We'll also be able to answer any questions you need answered before the meeting.
