"Dear Father,
You have made it so clear and positive that we should never despise the day of small beginnings. So we quickly acknowledge the seemingly insignificant things that swirl around us that appear to be, oh, so small; yet, in fact, are the seeds of that large thing You would work in us.
Father,
You have said, 'I will build My church ,' and we witness You doing just that. Saving many by the power of your Spirit and consistently enlarging the borders and possibilities of our lives. We pray that you continue to concentrate on the needed areas in us, for we remain available to Your hand.
Father,
You have said You don't dwell in temples made with hands, and we have seen You become enthroned in the lives of people. All kinds of people. From the wounded, hungry and crying, to the strong, secure, and confident one in the Lord. We desire to be a people in whom Your glory and presence dwell.
Father,
Your Word declares, 'I will bless the Lord at all times.' And we are setting our wills to do exactly that. We offer our praise and thanksgiving to You, Lord, for You have said You will never leave us or forsake us. So in the middle of our trying times and rejoicing times, we will bless You, Lord.
A Beaverton Shepherd,
Ron Mehl"
