Our Mission and Doctrinal Beliefs

The Heart of Compassion Ministries – Our Mission

Compassion Ministries is a non-profit organization founded by Pastor Ron Mehl, and born out of his passion for the lost and needy, as well as his concern for those who are selflessly dedicated to the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. We at Compassion Ministries are committed to:
  • The communication of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Providing love, care, compassion, prayer, material support, and other assistance to pastors, teachers, missionaries, and others dedicated unselfishly to the service of Jesus Christ.
  • Providing love, care, compassion, prayer, material support, and other assistance to the needy.

Our Doctrine

  1. The Holy Scriptures: We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16,17)
  2. The Eternal Godhead: We believe in the Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
  3. The Fall of Man: We believe that man was created in the image of God, but through disobedience sinned and fell from perfection. (Romans 5:12)
  4. The Plan of Salvation: We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, signing the pardon for all who believe on Him. (John 3:16, Romans 5:8,9)
  5. Salvation Through Grace: We believe that salvation is the gift of God by grace alone. (Eph. 2:8,9)
  6. Repentance and Acceptance: We believe that upon sincere repentance and acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God. (I John 1:9)
  7. The Resurrection: We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus Christ, and in His ascension into Heaven. (Matt. 28:5,6)
  8. The Spirit-Filled Life: We believe that it is the will of God that we walk in the Spirit daily. (Ephesians 4:30-32, Galatians 5:25)
  9. The Second Coming of Christ: We believe in the second coming of Christ. (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17)
  10. The Final Judgement: We believe in Heaven, and in Hell, and that all shall stand some day before the judgement seat of God, there receiving the gift of eternal life or the punishment of eternal separation from Him. (Matthew 25:31-46)
  11. Evangelism: We believe that soul winning is the most important responsibility of the Church. (James 5:20)
